What grade of hair do you sell?

There has been a lot of hype with hair grade over the years, in fact it’s been overhyped. There have been so many grades of hair “invented” so to speak, in order to give a company a marketing advantage over another company. A company can easily say, our hair is grade A+ while another company could say theirs is A+++. The fact of the matter is, there is no regulation and companies can say whatever they like and often do. It’s never a good idea to trust a company and what they say about their hair grade, they either may be telling you one thing because they truly believe their hair is that specific grade or their vendor tells them it’s that grade- because that company may feel it’s important in regards to the marketing aspect.

The most important takeaway from this is that the quality of the hair comes down to 2 things, where the hair originally comes from, and what kind of pre-picking and processing the hair has gone through- if any, before and during manufacturing. Remy hair is the purest and has the cuticle intact. Virgin hair can be Remy, it just means the hair has not been processed. The only processing we do here at Perfect Locks is taking Remy hair and coloring it. Then there is hair that is non-Remy, which is widely sold by many companies, but not here. Non-Remy hair will look good at first but will deteriorate quickly over time. Again, we source the purest Remy and virgin hair available in the market.
